  1. Ross,
You might be referring to U.S. purchasing 95+ percent of Canadian energy exports, i.e., crude oil, natural gas & electricity, roughly 30 percent of Canadian goods surplus in 2025. Correct me if I’m wrong.

I have read that Joe Kent started changing after he married his second wife, who is said to be a far-left radical. Wouldn’t be the first time that a conservative (either sex) married a far-left radical (either sex) and started changing. Happened to Barry Goldwater.

  3. I am a Canadian. I agree with most of your comments about my country. But, I believe you are incorrect and misleading in your comments about the trade deficit with Canada. My understanding is that that deficit arises from our sale of oil to the US but if oil sales are moved from the calculation, there is pretty much no deficit either way. We are 1/10th the size of the US. If you bought as much oil from Norway, how do you think the trade deficit would look? If you stopped buying our oil there would be little or no deficit problem. Oil excepted, there is little to complain about although I am embarrassed about our failure to honour the spirit of our obligations under the free trade agreement, particularly on milk products. I do not believe deficit part of your argument has legs.
All the best for your recovery.

  4. Victor,
Your point’s well taken about the definition of imminent threat. Most would agree that Iran’s Shia theocracy should never possess a nuclear weapon, so it’s better to strike now before they get it.
Otherwise, please do some more impersonations, even if you don’t feel right! You make people laugh, because we all know such characters in our lives. Those impersonations are somehow life-affirming.
